Hm, lieneekö totta(kaan)?
LS7:n titaanisten osien, kuten kiertokanget ja venat ja niihin liittyvät ongelmat olisivat kuitenkin GM:n omia tössejä, koska eivät ole noudattaneet alihankkijoiden ohjeita titaanisten osien pinnoitusten kiilloituksessa:
"The issue with the stock GM titanium rods is not an RPM issue from what we have seen but an actual coating issue (I.E. Manufacturing issues).
In short Pankl makes the rods for GM which is a very high end German Titanium Rod manufacturer. With that said I have had several conversations with a few guys in the know over at Pankl and they all said the same thing Del West told us about GM and that is they did not follow the recommendations and advise their suppliers/manufactures were giving to them.
Instead GM came in with their penny pincers and cut proper micro polishing and mil thickness on the ti Rod coating in order to make a price point (save money). Had GM listened to Pankl and done a proper micro polish before coating the rods along with a thicker Mil coating on the rods you would not be hearing of the rod coating issue your hearing about today."
Saksasta näköjään löytyy Pankl-niminen alihankkija...:

...ja Del West on sekin olemassa:
