English and Finnish

Hello,
I am sorry but I do not speak Finnish. I have searched the internet for a language convertor.

I got this one http://www.systransoft.com/index.html

but it does not translate finnish.

Are there any web sites that do that?

Thank you

Cosmo

You will probably get somewhat peculiar translations, our languages are structurally so different, but you are always welcome to ask if you will not get understandable text Best of luck surfinn' this site.

EDIT: ...and that site does that. Sorry.

Hey everyone,
hope you are all doing well. I recently spent two weeks in Singapore. I am glad to be home. I am going to the 1/4 mile dragstrip to run the vette tomorrow night. If anyone is interested, I will let you know my times.

Finnshark 16.11.2005 08:03

Welcome back Cosmo! Hope you had a good trip!

Yep, we are interested about your quarter mile times! Maybe you have some pics too! We have already ran out of our driving season, so it would be great to see some action from other places!

Hi,
sorry I didn't take any pictures. It was at night.

Here is my time slip from that night. I am car 21 in the left lane.

I went back a week later and got this. I removed my spare tire and carrier and went with less gas. I also improved my reaction time. If I can keep from spinning the rear tires so much, I think I could make it into the 12s. The car that beat me on both of these runs belongs to a friend of mine. It is a modified C5 that has about 80 more horsepower than me. This time, he only beat me by .17 second! I am car 19 in the left lane.

ZL1 29.11.2005 10:57

What kind of engine you have? I think it is hard to get to 12s only with better grip...Is the other car stock or hard your frend done some mods adding power?

Anyway a nice improvement done in your reaction times! and ET also if the weight was the only difference!

Cosmo 29.11.2005 21:27

My mods include:
big mouth air dam, Vortec Rammer, tb bypass, Comp Cams heavy duty valve springs, Comp Cams 1.6 roller rockers, Hypertech adjustable fuel pressure regulator, LT4 knock sensor module, Taylor spiro pro 8mm wires, NGK tr55ix plugs, 3.07 rear gears, Corsa cat back exhaust, Dyno tuned.

The other guy was driving a 99 C5, with a ram air intake, cam, valve work, corsa cat back and a dyno tune.

I bet you guys are missing your vettes over there. I'll try to post some good pics.

There is a one good thing about winter (it's the only good thing though). We have six months to build our Corvettes for the next summer!

Here is my drive at the moment. No need to hurry, becaus there is still five months to the start of the driving season! :jocolor:

Cosmo 02.12.2005 00:35

Looks like you've got a lot of work ahead of you. I thought you Finnish guys just passed the winter away by a warm fire and a hot Finnish woman.

Well, don't feel bad I've live here for 13 years and still don't speak their language. They always say what?,what?. So anyway download Dictor it translates finnish word by word, not paragraphs. Systrans has one that translates, but your looking at $1500-$2000, it's up to you.

@Cosmo

I use this for translation: Copy and paste the following for Google: ilmainen sanakirja and click the first link. Click "kaikista" to choose English or Suomi (Finnish) & "kaikkiin" to whatever language You like. Maybe better but not perfect. Many languages too but for Finnish I think a page from here should do the job.

Yes Finnnish girls warm at winter like the V8 at summer. Just receieved sparkplugs+the rest like cables,air-filters and all kinds of stuff to change for the engine. Here at a bit more north there is only 6 months+ time to take care of the car at the garage. Are we crazy or what?
