APS - tuplaturbosatsin goodbye?
Jahah, eikös sitten ollutkaan ihan kunnollista tavaraa? Vai paloiko vain pinna?
"Knock APS off your list. Their stay was short lived and they have left the game now. Their products are under deep suspicion of being knock off turbos, outsourced parts, etc. If you buy one of their kit it is safe to say that now you will get zero customer service." http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-f...endations.html Niinpä: "We installed the APS kit, luckily we decided to run the Meziere electric water pump to circulate the water before we fired the engine up. We then checked the engine oil dipstick and found about a lot of water on it! One of the water cooled turbos had a bad seal and leaked a lot of water into the engine. APS overnighted us another turbo to replace the bad one. Keep in mind this was many years ago when APS was just entering our market. Why did I not go direct with APS? All in all I found APS very hard to deal with. Bob" http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-f...ar-market.html Mikä sitten on totuus? No, se selviää sitten kun itse kokeilee. |
Tossa on kans piitkä thredi aps ongelmista..No Pekka, tuleekos seuraavaan lsx inkarnaatioon jo vihdoin ja viimein ne turbot? ;)

Hahah. I think you and your company APS know you fucked some people over here. You choose to hide and not fix the problems with the turbo's you sold to all of us. Now APS doesnt want to support the F body anymore. APS is a fucking joke and I regret ever supporting your kit. Yea my kit ran 9's but I had to fix alot of problems and have been quiet on this board for a while. After reading countless threads of peoples turbo's cracking Id say you had a major design flaw and instead of manning up to all the problems you choose to just let the boat sink and all the persons that bought a kit from you sink with it. What comes around goes around." Joo tuon pidemmälle mä en ehtinyt lukea. Quote:
Tää on tätä iänikuista keskipakoahdin propagandaa...

Oikein hyvä esimerkki aivottoman massan voimasta:ncool: |
laatukamaa ruotsista?
At the time of writing there are many factories in China manufacturing turbos which are, by and large, identical. One such example is the rather common T70 which is itself a copy of the original Garrett T61. Initially, one factory began churning out copies of the aforementioned turbo at which point another manufacturer decided to follow suit, basing its own product on a copy of the initial copy. This chain of events has eventually led us to the market that exists today one that is cluttered by generic turbos most of which are a far cry from the quality of the original Garret. As a result, the reputation of Chinese replacement parts has been diminished with many buyers steering well clear of anything coming out of the region. At TurboBanditen we laid down two years of hard work in the form of research before we eventually decided to start selling Asian hardware. By inspecting and testing turbo models purchased from 30 different manufacturers we eventually narrowed our candidates down to a single copy bearing the closest resemblance to the original Garrett T61 and ensuring via tests that it measured up to the original performance. During this arduous process we came across both amusing and downright frightening examples of low quality parts despite the near identical physical appearance of many of these impostors. Below are a few good examples of what we found: 1) Upon heating up, the compressor housing¡ng weld came apart right down the middle. The reason? It was glued together. 2) Incorrectly threaded axel. After tightening the nut a few times we lost the boost, which promptly saw the nut fly off into the wilderness resulting in a turbo mess. 3) Turbo collapse the shaft broke down the middle after a number of mountings. 4) Bearing collapse the bearing was constructed of plastic(!) 5) Strange response from the turbo´s incorrect angle on the wheel blades. 6) Seals breaking almost instantly 7) Erroneous specifications many manufacturers claim 360 bearings/ballbearings but opening the housing reveals otherwise After finally finding a partner, we went a step further by investing a few hundred thousand Swedish crowns SEK in developing our own model, so even if the physical appearance of our turbo casings might liken those of other manufacturers, it´s far from the same thing and provides a very different experience. We had a whole load of customers who are previous users of Turbonetics and Precision turbos whose cars now boast an even faster spool up, finer curves and more power thanks to our part offerings. Lastly, we have never sold a single component that did not pass testing which in our case involves running 40psi mounted in our own vehicles, ensuring that OUR stuff works, even under duress. As a result, we are proud to provide our customers with a one year guarantee on all our turbos.
