It was my pleasure to stumble upon evidence of your site, as my father's parents emigrated from Finland to Minnesota, USA in the early 1900's. At that time our last name was spelled Iso-Haaro, but has been since changed to Haro. We still have relatives in Tampere, Aitoo, Iso-Joki and Kari-Joki.

I am pleased to see that Corvette enthusiasts exist in Finland. While I have owned a few Corvettes in the distant past, my current interest was in finding dimensions for the 1995 C4 rear suspension. My project is to install the Corvette rear suspension in my 1955 (2nd series) Chevrolet pick-up truck. The other end of the truck already has a '79 Camaro subframe, suspension, 350 engine and 400 TH transmission. Before I chop up my truck's rear frame, I plan to model the project in Solid Works CAD (Dessault).

Somewhere I believe I still have a small aliminum ash tray with the "Corvettes of Minnesota" club emblem on it. I will send it to the first person in Finland who sends me an email request at:
