Kimmolla oli punaisessa vetessä tuollainen. Sattunesta syystä komeukset jäivät vähäiseksi... Ainakin minulle jäi kyseisestä purkista hyvä kuva. Tuossa huohotusta on oikeasti mietitty hieman enemmän kuin kiinassa tehdyissä blingbling purkeissa. |

ENGINE APPLICATION MANUAL GM Powertrain 2011 Gen IV V8 Engine OEM Sales
3.1.4.7 Crankcase Ventilation The Gen IV V8 engine utilizes a fresh air positive ventilation system as shown in Figure 3.1.4.4-1. This view (as seen from the rear of the engine) has a fresh air supply provided thru the right hand rocker cover. The foul air is removed to the intake manifold from the left hand cover (LS3 system foul air is drawn from the engine valley cover). . There is no PCV valve, but rather a fixed orifice. A 2.5mm orifice is used on the L96,a 2.7mm orifice is used on the LS3 engines.LSA and LS9 engines use a similar system. Crankcase Ventilation System Description L96 and LS3 A closed crankcase ventilation system is used in order to provide a more complete scavenging of the crankcase vapors. Fresh air from the throttle body is supplied to the crankcase, mixed with blow-by gases, and then passed through a crankcase ventilation orifice into the intake manifold. The primary control is through the crankcase ventilation orifice which meters the flow at a rate through a 2.5 mm hole. If abnormal operating conditions arise, the system is designed to allow excessive amounts of blow-by gases to backflow through the crankcase vent tube into the engine air inlet to be consumed by normal combustion. Filtered fresh air is routed from up-stream of the throttle blade to the front of the right rocker arm cover via a formed rubber hose. To reduce the potential of oil pullover into the throttle bore area due to back flow of the ventilation system, the fitting in the right rocker arm cover is shielded from the rocker arms. From there fresh air and gases are routed through the crankcase and up to the opposite rocker arm cover. Gases are then routed through a hose to the intake manifold |
