Sad to hear that there is such a delay. 8 days plus maybe few more to get the car out.
One thing to check (while waiting)...check that the Norwegian customs shall not want a deposit for the Value Added Tax on the value of your car (if they do tell them that it's an old car with no value what so ever.) Last year when I have some sample products with me from Sweden to Norway I had to pay a large deposit fr the goods. Likely not the case with your car, but good to check. Hope to see you soon. |

Oslo street life and airport pickup
Here are some pictures of my friend Henning Kjensli and his cars. Road around Oslo in a 68 and how would you like to be picked up at the airport in a 57 Caddy...one of only 1800 ever made...sold new in 57 at over $12,000 now is worth a lot....
Some quick shots of Olso street life Enjoy Jack

Jack,
One solution would be that you travel Norway for the next few days while waiting for the car. Visit Trondheim and see the cost (take the train, rent or borrow a car etc.) Then when the car arrives you could take more direct route towards Oulu. If you meet a gentmen called Finn Ström in Oslo say hi from me. He has a blue/blue -69 big block convertible (and some other nice cars). Mika |

On the Train to Bergen
Hello to all,
I am on the train to Bergen, the sun is still following me.....hope it will last all the way to Bergen. On my 48 state trip (90 days 20,000 miles) I only had one day of rain. Let hope it will be the same in Norway......it has been sunny since the day I have arrive Henning and Jan-Ivar have been great and I want to thanks them very much....They made a bad situation of no car....almost fun..... I have been to two car shows and have already met some some great guys , and have been able to put a face with a screen name...Gudmund Bolsgard (Fuelie 65) showed up with his 67 427 . Jack

Now that you have some time in Norway you can work for a week on a fishing boat or oil rig...you'll earn the budget for the whole trip in a week
On the other hand not the most low cost country to spend some time. Nice to hear that the Norwegians are taking good care of you. We'll try to live up the the high standards as soon as you get here. Mika |

Should I be concerned ?
She said her name was Ivana and it sounded like a Russian name.
A spy and her handler ? I better be careful

Looks like she's well in tolerances, I'd suggest a hone and a ring job.
