Joskus surffaillessani löysin tällaisen (vaikka tuolla artikkeleissa vastaava onkin jo)!


C1: Generation 1 1953 - 1962

1953 All 300 were hand built, had 6 cylinder engines with automatic transmissions and were white with red interiors and black soft top.
1954 Addition of pennant blue, sportsman red and black exterior colors Interiors were red except for beige with the pennant blue exterior All soft-tops were beige Tail pipes were extended to reduce discoloring of rear finish and minimize intrusion of exhaust fumes into the passenger compartment.
1955 V8 engine appears for the first time An enlarged gold "V" on the body side scripts identified V8's All V8's came with 12-volt electrical systems 3-speed manual transmission is introduced.
1956 Bodies were re-styled with the introduction of the body side cove External door handles and locks appear Roll-up windows Selector bar on optional radio was plain with no lettering Dash mounted rear view mirror had thumbscrew adjustment Harvest Gold and Copper exterior colors were added.
1957 Fuel injection with side cove emblem 4 speed transmission Selector bar on optional radio contained word "Wonderbar" Dash mounted rear view mirror had threaded base and lock-nut adjustment.
1958 Dual headlights appear Twin chrome straps on trunk lid Non-functional louvers on hood.
1959-1960 No twin chrome straps on trunk lid No louvers on hood 4-speed shifter had a reverse lock-out T-handle Passenger side storage compartment under the garb bar The '59 and '60 Corvette bodies are identical except for the wheel colors: black on '59's and body color on the '60's.
1959 Seats sported horizontal pleats.
1960 Seats sported vertical pleats Dash-top speaker grill had painted bezel Door panel had dimpled metal trim Corvette script on passenger side dash scoop had colored bars above and below.
1961 Heavy teeth in front grill were replaced with "eggcrate" mesh Headlight bezels were body colored Very narrow pleats on seating surfaces Nose emblem was a crossed flag over a "V" Re-styled rear featured Corvette signature four taillights.
1962 327ci engine replaces 283ci engine Single louver simulated cove vent replaces triple spears of '61 No trim around body side cove Two-tone paint no longer available Optional whitewalls were narrow Front grill was blacked out Nose emblem was a crossed flag inside a circle Bright rocker panel molding was added.

C2: Generation 2 1963 - 1967

1963 Coupe is offered for the first time Split rear window is used for the coupe A/C and leather seats available for the first time Hood was adorned with simulated air vents Side fender louvers are twin horizontal.
1964 Split rear window is removed from the coupe Simulated air vents removed from the hood Side fender louvers are twin horizontal Steering wheels were walnut grained plastic.
1965 Big block 396ci engine appears Side mount exhaust systems are offered Side fender louvers were functional three vertical slots Teakwood steering wheels, telescoping steering columns and gold-walled tires were popular options Hood recesses were removed.
1966 Big block 427 replaces 396ci engine Side roof vents were removed Side fender louvers remain functional three vertical slots Nose sported an "eggcrate" grill Head rests and shoulder harnesses are available for the first time Knock-off wheels had brush finish center cones instead of bright as in previous years.
1967 No fender emblems or hood scripts were used except for the "427" hood badge Five side fender slots were angles forward Aluminum rocker panels were painted flat black Parking brake handle moved to between the seats Single backup light mounted above the license plate GM "Mark of Excellence" sticker was applied exclusively to the '67 on the door jams.

C3: Generation 3 1968 - 1982

1968 New body style with removable roof panels and rear window on coupes Windshield wipers hidden under a vacuum operated panel No body side emblem or script was used No side exhaust was offered Had push-button exterior door release Had dash mounted ignition switch Back-up light was separate from taillight.
1969 Stingray script was used on side fender above "gills" Tail lamp lens had integrated back-up light if so ordered Side exhaust returns for '69 only Door release was via a push plate mounted on the upper door sill Ignition switch moved to steering column.
1970 "Eggcrate" fender grills replaced side fender gills or 1968 - 1969 Had squared exhaust vents Wheel wells were flared to combat stone chipping.
1971-1972 Body same as 1970 except that amber parking light lenses were introduced.
1973 Pliable body color front bumper was used for first time Rear window was no longer removable.
1974 Both front and rear were fitted with body color bumpers Rear body color bumper contained a vertical seam Side rear-view mirror was chrome.
1975 Catalytic converter was used for the first time Rear body color bumper was now one piece Hood was adorned with L82 decal The front and rear bumpers were fitted with small extrusions with black pads Kilometers per hour appeared on the sub-face of the speedometer First 'Vette to require unleaded fuel Side rear-view mirror was chrome.
1976 The '76 hood is unique to that year Vents were removed from rear deck behind window Two styles of rear bumpers were used; one with smaller recessed Corvette letters and one with larger flush letters Side rear-view mirror was chrome.
1977 The alarm activator was moved from the driver-side fender to the driver-side door lock The windshield wiper/washer controls were moved to the steering column The luggage rack was designed to hold the removable roof panels Side rear-view mirror was same as body color.
1978 New fastback styling without opening rear hatch was introduced A glove box was added Limited Edition Pace Car replica with high-back seats Arm rests were screw-on for the first time Special 25th Anniversary emblems were used Side rear-view mirror was same as body color.
1979 High-back seats became standard Front and rear spoilers similar to those of the 1978 Pace Car were optional add-ons Side rear-view mirror was same as body color.
1980 Front and rear spoilers became integrated into the bumpers Speedometer could only read up to 85mph Black louver treatments were added to side fender louvers New elongated crossed-flag emblems were used Side rear-view mirror was same as body color.
1981 Emblems changed slightly, the chrome background of 1980 was now painted black Headlamp and windshield wiper switch bezels were color keyed to the interior color (they were black in 1980) A power driver's seat was available for the first time Side rear-view mirror was same as body color.
1982 A Collector's Edition heralded the end of the C3 generation and featured a lift-up rear hatch Hoods had solenoid-operated doors to direct fresh air directly into the air cleaner during full acceleration Side rear-view mirror was same as body color.

C4: Generation 4 1984 - 1996

1984 First year of the C4 generation with a complete re-design, inside and out Cross-fire injection engine with body-side molding script denoting same Did not have the high break light over the rear hatch window Wheels have 10 spokes with exposed lugnuts with black painted center section.
1985 Tuned-port injection returned true fuel injection to the Corvette for the first time since 1965 Tuned-port injection script was written on the body-side molding Wheels have 10 spokes with exposed lugnuts with black painted center section Wheel balance weights were adhesive versus clip-on and were attached on an inner surface.
1986 A convertible was offered for the first time since 1975 All convertible models were designated as Pace Cars. Center high-mount stoplights appeared on the coupe while they were installed on the rear fascia of the convertibles. Wheels have 10 spokes with exposed lugnuts with natural aluminum finish center section.
1987 Wheels have 10 spokes with exposed lugnuts with argent gray painted center section Convertibles and early coupes had outside mirror air deflectors.
1988 16" wheels had 6 spokes and 6 cooling slots and came with P255/50ZZR 16" tires Optional 17" wheels had 6 spokes and 12 cooling slots with cap/emblem covering lugnuts and came with P275/40ZZR17 tires (wheels were painted white for 35th Special Edition Package) 35th Anniversary Special Edition package was offered for the coupe only. It sported two-tone exterior of white with black roof bow, white leather seats, steering wheel, special interior and exterior accents.
1989 17" wheels had 6 spokes and 12 cooling slots with cap/emblem covering lugnuts and came with P275/40ZR17 tires Removable hardtop became an option The 1989 seats were redesigned.
1990-1993 Had a glove box on the passenger side instrument panel.
1990 The first ZR-1's are released to the public New instrument panel combined digital speedometer with analog tachometer and secondary gauges Instrument panel was gray and black Driver's side airbag and passenger side glove box are introduced.
1991-1996 Wheels have 8 spokes with exposed lugnuts.
1991 Instrument panel was gray and black Rear fascia was re-styled similar to the ZR-1 with a convex fascia and 4 rectangular tail lamps Wrap-around parking-cornering-fog lamps Side panel louvers were re-designed to 4 horizontal bar indents.
1992 Instrument panel was all black Emblems were added above the side fender vents of the ZR-1's Exhaust outlets became rectangular.
1993 40th Anniversary package was offered All leather seats had 40th Anniversary embroidery in headrest area First year for keyless entry system.
1994-1996 Passenger side glove box replaced by an airbag.
1994 Two spoke steering wheel was used The convertible rear window was glass Passenger side airbag became standard All seats were leather.
1995 New side fender vents were less pronounced Dark purple and white Indy Pace Car replicas were offered.
1996 Grand Sport option with Admiral Blue paint with white center stripe Grand Sport had 5 spoke wheels painted black Collector Edition in Sebring Silver had 5 spoke wheels painted silver

C5: Generation 5 1997 -

1997 Virtually all components, inside and out, were re-designed for 1997. All analog dash instrumentation was used with "black: lighting New LS1 engine was introduced Wheels were 5 spoke, 17x8.5" front and 18x9.5" rear There were no convertibles A new emblem and script was introduced.
1998 The convertible returned to the Corvette line-up Styling was virtually the same as 1997 A "Replace air filter" warning light was new Three new colors, light pewter, light gold, and dark purple were offered Fairway Green exterior color was fazed out.
1999 The Heads Up Display (HUD) is available for the first time.
2000 Torch Red interior becomes available Millenium Yellow and dark Bowling Green colors are added New Domestic Standard Five Spoke Wheel Deluxe High Polish Wheel becomes an option No passenger side key cylinder.
