The 1963 glovebox door was unique in its pattern, material and construction. The door was cast plastic with a grain cast right into it. There were several different patterns although all appeared similar. The glovebox door was painted from backside. The original door had tendency to crack, which was visible from outside since the door was painted from back.

The 1964 glovebox door was different from 1963 counterpart; while the 1963 version had a plastic face, 1964´s was all-metal with brushed aluminum finish inside a black-painted metal face with chrome edging.
