Vanne homma suunnitellessa pätkähti kallis idea.Jospa c5:en päivittäis keraamisilla levyillä ja zr1 sylintereillä. Löytyiskö linkkejä mahdollisista myymälöistä? Nehän olis kevyemmätkin!

Ei oo mikään bolt-on... Pitääpi kaivaa vinkkilinkit kun kerkiin. Ei siis mee suoraan z06:een ZR1:n keraamiset jarrulevyt ja satulat...

Suurimmat ongemat taitaa tulla vikakoodien kanssa...

Teräslaikalla olevaa bolt on sarjaa jo tosin myydään, onko sitten sen arvoinen, en ota kantaa. Ceraamiset sen sijaan olis aika wow!

Huomasin, että tää onkin C5 osio... Sitten en tiedä sitäkään vähää.

Etu levyt on 15.5" halkaisija ja takana 15" eli vaatii sopivan kokoiset pyörät myös.

Stoptech tekee nykyään C5 ja C6:iin sopivia keraamisia jarrusarjoja, hinnat alkaen 17K USD.

Samoin Mov'itilta saa vastaavan sarjan mittojen mukaan Brembon satuloilla.

Lisää hidasteita ZR1 jarrujen asentamiseen:

"For 2009, the brake controller for all Corvettes has changed from Delphi to Bosch so controllers and wheel speed sensors are not interchangeable from past years. The new Bosch control system requires an "Active" Wheel Speed Sensor (Active WSS) in the hub bearings. The bearing is a carryover design except the rear half shaft spline has been changed on the Z51, Z06 and ZR1 to increase the number of teeth (up to 33 from 30) on the shaft and rear bearing hub."

"The coefficients of friction between the pads and discs are different.
The line pressure required to create friction is different.
In order to function properly, and safely, the electronics have to be different as well to be able to provide the proper pulse rates and reactionary tactics of the ABS and traction control units."

Eli kaikkea "pientä" saattaa tulla eteen, mutta antaa palaa vaan!!!

Kaikki hauska vaati veronsa .Mutta ei se mitään, lentäähän ne toiset kuuhunkin .On mukavaa kun tietää probleemat etukäteen.

Ennenkuin rupeen ittelleni zr1 jarruja ostelemaan odottelen et joku muu tekee pioneerityön ja laittaa kunnon dokumentaation. Ensimmäinen yritys on varmasti "yrityksen ja erehdyksen kautta".

Täällä kanssa kytätään samaa hommaa. Taitaa tulla helpommaksi ja halvemmaksi ostaa vaan se ZR1...

Eikös noi C6 Z06:en jarrut ois jo sinällään hirvittävän hyvät kun valitsee vaan kunnolla purevat palat?

Se että jarrut on puolet auton käypästä arvosta lienee jo pientä liioittelua? (Tätä voidaan myös pitää proletariaattisena tyhjätaskun panetteluna.)

Ois kiva päästä kokeilemaan mihin C6 Z06 jarrut riittää esim Alastarolla, katurenkailla... kuka lainaa?
