X-fire oli aika pitkään, ahdettunakin. Mutta nykyään on muokattu stealth ram. Alakerta on kyllä alkuperäinen.

This is the current status of my Corvette:

Stock engine block.

CompCams 858-16 Pro magnum Hydraulic lifters
CompCams 1412-16 magnum roller rocker arms
AFR 190 heads with 74cc chamber size.
Holley Stealth Ram that I modified to clear the stock hood.
Haltech E6K
120 lbs injectors.
SX fuel pressure regulator.
Twin BOSCH fuel pumps and a surge tank in the rear right fender.
Dana44
4L80E controlled by a TCI T-Com
Vigilante converter
Front mount XS Power intercooler with 24"x12"x4" core.
HKS 'style' 50mm wastegate
Garrett GT4288N turbo from a Volvo semi truck
E85 ethanol fuel.

It is not a stock engine, but the short block is stock except for ARP bolts.

The stock CrossFire engine was rated 205 hp @ 4200 RPM and 290 lbs-ft @ 2800 RPM.

I finished my turbo buildup this summer and I have put a lot of hard miles on the car. It is a street car with very good manners. At part throttle it is not that different from a stock Corvette.

Om september 9th drove I drove 110 miles to a race track. Best ET 11.14 sec. Best trap speed 131 mph. Then I drove 110 miles back home.

With that trap speed I knew that it must be quite some hp at the rear wheels.

Yesterday I went to a dyno shop to get the facts on paper ... They have a Dynapack rated at 3000Nm ( 2200 lbs. ft. ) at the wheels.

Remember ... The engine still has the stock pistons, stock rods and stock crank in the stock 2-bolt engine block.

The dyno measures tourqe at the wheels.
On the first pull we locked the tranny on third gear with the lockup engaged.
When the revs reached about 3000 rpm it started pulling HARD and a moment later the computer screen turned red. The dyno had maxed out on rear wheel tourqe.

Only one thing to do ... Try again on fourth gear to reduce tourqe at the wheels.
There were no problems on the second pull.

After seeing the numbers I am having some problems to understand how the STOCK SHORTBLOCK still is in one piece.
1086.7 Nm ( 801 lbs. ft. ) at 4000 RPM.
627.2 rwhp at 4200 RPM.

If the 4L80E has 18% loss then the numbers at the crank are 1325 Nm ( 977 lbs. ft. ) and 765 hp.

Yes, the engine is still in one piece. GM did something right with my engine.

Vaikuttavia lukemia, vaikkakin tuo 1086Nm ei ole takapyöriltä vaan vauhtipyörältä! Ainakin dynolapussa lukee selkeästi flywheel torque...

Kyllä mullekin yksi kilonewton kelpaisi, oli se mistä tahansa mitattu...
